إلتقى الفريق أول / عبدالمجيد صقر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى السيد / جي كابومبو مواديامفيتا نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الدفاع الوطنى وشئون المحاربين القدامى بجمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً حيث أجريت له مراسم إستقبال رسمية بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع وعزفت الموسيقات العسكرية السلام الوطنى لكلا البلدين .

تناول اللقاء تعزيز علاقات التعاون العسكرى بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين ، كذلك أبرز المستجدات على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية وإنعكاساتها على الأمن والإستقرار داخل القارة الأفريقية .

وأكد القائد العام للقوات المسلحة على إعتزازه بالعلاقات الممتدة التى تربط القوات المسلحة لدولتى مصر والكونغو الديموقراطية ، مؤكداً حرص القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة على زيادة آفاق التعاون العسكرى وتنسيق الجهود والعمل المشترك فى مختلف المجالات .

من جانبه أعرب نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الدفاع الوطنى وشئون المحاربين القدامى بجمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية عن تقديره لدور مصر الرائد فى دعم ركائز الأمن والإستقرار لكافة شعوب القارة الأفريقية ، معرباً عن تطلعه أن تشهد المرحلة المقبلة مزيداً من التعاون المشترك بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .

General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Meets the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans’ Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Mr. Guy Kabombo Muadiamvita, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans’ Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the accompanying delegation during their current visit to Egypt. An official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, during which the military band played the national anthems of both countries.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance military cooperation between the armed forces of both countries, in addition to reviewing the latest regional and international developments and their implications for security and stability within the African continent.

General Abdel Mageed Saqr expressed his pride in the longstanding relations that bind the armed forces of Egypt and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, affirming the General Command of the Armed Forces’ keenness to expand avenues of military cooperation, strengthen coordination, and promote joint efforts across various fields.

For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans’ Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s leading role in supporting the pillars of security and stability for all peoples of the African continent, voicing his aspiration for increased joint cooperation between the armed forces of both countries in the coming phase.

The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, a number of senior commanders from the Egyptian and Congolese Armed Forces, and the Congolese Ambassador to Cairo
