انعقد اليوم الاجتماع الدوري لمجلس جامعة طنطا عن شهر مايو برئاسة الدكتور محمد حسين رئيس جامعة طنطا، بحضور اللواء أشرف الجندي محافظ الغربية، والدكتور فؤاد هراس رئيس جامعة طنطا الأسبق، والدكتور عبد الحكيم عبد الخالق رئيس الجامعة الأسبق، والدكتور محمود سليم نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، والدكتور حاتم أمين نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، وعمداء الكليات، والمستشار القانوني للجامعة، وأمين عام الجامعة.

خلال كلمته قدم اللواء أشرف الجندي خالص التهنئة لأعضاء المجلس وجميع منسوبي الجامعة لصدور القرار الجمهوري بإنشاء جامعة طنطا الأهلية، كما قدم تهانيه بمناسبة قرب حلول عيد الأضحى المبارك، وأعرب عن سعادته البالغة بتواجده وسط “قامات علمية رفيعة” يمثلون أعضاء المجلس، مؤكداً على أهمية الجامعة الجديدة في تعزيز مسيرة التعليم والتنمية داخل المحافظة وخارجها، مشيراً إلى أن إنشاء جامعة طنطا الأهلية يعد إضافة نوعية تهدف إلى تطوير التعليم الجامعي وربطه باحتياجات التنمية الشاملة، وتقديم خريجين مؤهلين لسوق العمل المتغير، والمساهمة في بناء
مجتمع المعرفة.

ومن جانبه، رحب الدكتور محمد حسين باللواء أشرف الجندي مؤكدا على عمق أواصر التعاون بين جامعة طنطا ومحافظة الغربية، موجها الشكر لمحافظ الغربية على كافة أوجه الدعم والتيسيرات المقدمة لجامعة طنطا ومنسوبيها، معربا عن بالغ سعادته وتقديره لصدور القرار الجمهوري بإنشاء جامعة طنطا الأهلية. وأكد الدكتور حسين أن هذا القرار يمثل نقلة تاريخية في مسيرة التعليم العالي بإقليم الدلتا، وخطوة استراتيجية نحو تحقيق مستهدفات الاستراتيجية الوطنية للتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي.

وصرح رئيس جامعة طنطا بأن إنشاء الجامعة الأهلية يأتي ليعزز من جودة الخدمات التعليمية المقدمة للمواطنين، ويلبي الاحتياجات المتزايدة لسوق العمل من الكفاءات والخبرات المتخصصة، مشيرا إلى أن الجامعة الأهلية ستكون بمثابة رافد جديد يثري المنظومة التعليمية، ويسهم في توفير برامج دراسية حديثة ومبتكرة تواكب التطورات العالمية وتلبي طموحات الشباب، موضحا أن جامعة طنطا الأهلية ستعمل على تقديم تجربة تعليمية متميزة ارتكازا على التطبيق العملي والفكر الابتكاري، مشيرا إلى أن اللوائح الدراسية للجامعة الأهلية والأنشطة البحثية تم تصميمها بشكل يدعم هذا التوجه، بهدف تخريج كوادر قادرة على المنافسة في مختلف المجالات، والمساهمة بفاعلية في دفع عجلة التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بإقليم الدلتا.

وشدد رئيس جامعة طنطا على أن الجامعة الأهلية ستعمل على تعظيم الاستفادة من الموارد المادية والبشرية القائمة بجامعة طنطا الأم، موضحا أن الخبرات الأكاديمية والإدارية المتوفرة بالجامعة الأم ستكون دعماً أساسياً للجامعة الأهلية، مما يضمن بداية قوية وفعال، مؤكدا أن الجامعة الأهلية ستركز على بناء شراكات استراتيجية مع القطاع الخاص والصناعي، لربط التعليم بسوق العمل وتوفير فرص تدريب وتوظيف متميزة للطلاب للتحول نحو بناء نموذج قياسي لجامعات الجيل الرابع، واختتم الدكتور محمد حسين تصريحاته بتوجيه الشكر والتقدير للقيادة السياسية على دعمها المستمر لتطوير التعليم في مصر بما يدعم تحقيق
رؤية مصر 2030.

The establishment of Tanta National University is a developmental addition aimed at enhancing higher education and aligning it with the needs of comprehensive development.

Prof. Mohamed Hussein:

The creation of the new university represents a qualitative leap in the trajectory of higher education in the Delta region, and a strategic step towards achieving the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The regular meeting of the Tanta University Council for the month of May was held today, chaired by Prof. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University. The meeting was attended by Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia; Prof. Fouad Hraas and Prof. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khaleq, former presidents of the university; Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; the deans of various faculties; the university’s legal advisor; and the Secretary-General of the university.

In his address, Major General Ashraf El-Gendy extended his heartfelt congratulations to the council members and all university affiliates on the issuance of the presidential decree establishing Tanta National University. He also offered his best wishes for the upcoming Eid al-Adha, expressing his profound happiness to be among such “distinguished academic figures” representing the university council. He emphasized the importance of the new university in enhancing the educational and developmental landscape both within and beyond the governorate. He noted that the founding of Tanta National University constitutes a qualitative addition aimed at modernizing higher education, addressing the needs of comprehensive development, producing graduates who are adaptable to labor market shifts, and contributing to the construction of a knowledge-based society.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed Hussein welcomed Major General El-Gendy and affirmed the strong collaborative ties between Tanta University and the Gharbia Governorate. He thanked the governor for the various forms of support and facilitation provided to the university and its affiliates, expressing his great satisfaction and appreciation for the presidential decree establishing Tanta National University. Prof. Hussein stressed that this decision marks a historic milestone in the advancement of higher education in the Delta region and is a strategic move towards realizing the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.

He further stated that the new national university will enhance the quality of educational services available to citizens and address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the labor market. He emphasized that the university will serve as a new stream enriching the educational system, offering modern and innovative academic programs aligned with global developments and meeting the aspirations of youth. Prof. Hussein clarified that Tanta National University aims to deliver a distinguished educational experience centered on practical application and innovative thinking. He noted that the university’s academic regulations and research activities have been designed to support this vision, with the goal of producing graduates who can effectively compete across various fields and contribute meaningfully to the economic and social development of the Delta region.

Prof. Hussein also stressed that the national university will capitalize on the existing material and human resources of the parent university, Tanta University, highlighting that the academic and administrative expertise available will serve as a vital support system to ensure a strong and effective start. He affirmed that the national university will focus on building strategic partnerships with the private and industrial sectors to bridge the gap between education and the labor market, providing outstanding training and employment opportunities for students. This, he said, will pave the way for establishing a model fourth-generation university. Prof. Hussein concluded his remarks by expressing deep gratitude to the political leadership for its unwavering support in advancing education in Egypt, which aligns with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
